Richard Venlet
Richard Venlet (b. 1964 / Australia. Lives in Brussels), artist.
Richard Venlet studied at St Luke's College in Brussels, the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam and works at the Faculty of Architecture at Ghent University. His recent one-man exhibitions include 'Paramount Basics - extended' at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp (2002); 'Paramount Basics', at the 2002 Sao Paulo Biennale; 'Double Take Table', Galerie Archetype, Brussels (2001); 'Freezed Focus', Hyperspace, Brussels (2001); 'Klang!raum-Bewegung', Kunstraum Düsseldorf (2001); 'Sydney', Argos, Brussels (1999); 'App.Bxl' (1997). He has also participated in the following group exhibitions: 'The Object Sculpture', Henry Moore Foundation, Leeds (2002); 'Belgium System, Ici et Maintenant', Espace 251 Nord, Tour & Taxis, Brussels (2001); 'Metro>Polis', Brussel/Bruxelles, European City of Culture, Brussels (2000); 'Small Stuff', Herman Teirlinck House, Beersel / B (1999); 'Every Day', at the 1998 Sydney Biennale.
