Sven Augustijnen

Sven Augustijnen (B, born 1970) is an artist and filmmaker. His work explores the boundaries between fiction and reality. In his video work, he places various genres alongside one another and mixes docusoap, human interest, spoof documentaries and home movies. Augustijnen misleads the viewer, who observes like a voyeur various events in which fact and fiction are not easily distinguishable. His film oeuvre includes, amongst other works, 'Iets op Bach' (1998), 'l'Ecole des Pickpockets' (2000), 'Le Guide du Parc' (2001), 'François' (2003) and 'Une Femme Entreprenante' (2004).
