De Inktaap 2011
More than three thousand pupils in Flanders and the Netherlands read the books that won the Golden Owl, the AKO Literature Prize and the Libris Literature prize, discuss their literary quality and choose their favourite. Each school participating sends its own literary jury to the final day in Antwerp: 'De Inktaap'.
For a whole day sixteen hundred young people discuss literature with one another and with the nominated writers. The discussions and interviews are interspersed with short musical interludes. Tom Lanoye, Dimitri Verhulst, A.F.Th. van der Heijden and Harry Mulisch are just a few of the award-winning authors attending. The first nominated writer at this festive event is no less a figure than Erwin Mortier, with 'Godenslaap'.
Would you like to take part? We will be raffling fifty tickets for patrons of deSingel. Send your name, address and telephone number to info@inktaap.be before 1 September. The lucky winners will receive their tickets in the post soon after this date.
