Architecture Room
With rapidly changing exhibitions in the Architecture Room, the Flemish Architecture Institute responds to contemporary research and design. It is also used to research the representation of architecture, for example through photography, and you can study fragile material in minute detail there.
Stynen in Chandigarh
In 1963, Léon Stynen visited the Indian city of Chandigarh, designed by his great idol Le Corbusier. Stynen took photos there that are on display for the first time in this Architecture Room. The series of photos provides a starting point for reflection on Stynen’s contacts with Le Corbusier and on his relationship with architectural photography.
