Bewegende Landschappen
Boekvoorstelling
The Flemish Architecture Institute (VAi) is launching a new series on architecture and urban planning. The first event is a unique visualisation of the postwar Flemish landscape. Entitled 'Moving Landscapes', it includes films by Charles Dekeukeleire, Luc de Heusch and Jef Cornelis and written contributions from Michiel Dehaene, Bruno Notteboom, Michael Ryckewaert and Sofie De Caigny.
On the occasion of this publication, there is a presentation of nine in-depth interviews by the journalist Bart Biesbrouck with key figures from postwar urban planning, and this is followed by a debate on the importance of audiovisual sources to an understanding of the history of the landscape. The evening comes to a festive close with a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Centre for Flemish Architecture Archives.
