With new musical concepts, composers shed fresh light on the tonal Western musical tradition. In five lessons, you unravel the most important musical styles and their representatives. From Van Schönberg and dodecaphony to Stravinsky and his expressionism, from Boulez and serialism to electronic music by Goeyvaerts or Stockhausen, from the aleatoric quality of Cage to minimalism in Riley or Glass. 20ste-century music will become more for you than just noise.
