Johannes Kreidler

ChampdAction, the Antwerp production company for new music and sound art, focuses on the use of technology and on cooperation with other artistic disciplines. For this purpose the ensemble uses a former Radio 2 studio where it carries on its daily work on new projects, concerts, recordings and sound installations. As part of the New Forum project, which will present a large-scale concert of new creations in our Theatre Studio on 4 February 2014, the German composer Johannes Kreidler will give us an insight into his working methods. His 'Slide show music' is conceived for ten musicians plus audio and video playback. Kreidler combines live performance with previously recorded instrumental samples on a multi-track video.
