Murga 2008

Murga is originally a Latin-American tradition. During an annual parade, groups of musicians, dancers and literary artists take over the streets of their city. Dressed in brightly coloured costumes and with original plays, dance and music they create a unique street event. De Murga Kick-off '09 is a free event of music, dance, costumes and words and is the artistic launch of the new Murga Year in Antwerp. The public is welcome to watch, and even more welcome to participate, in this interactive programme for young and old.
