Murga Kick-Off '10

International Murga Meeting. Debate with speakers from Italy, Argentina, South Africa and Uruguay. Murga is a Latin American tradition that found its way to Flanders, where in 2006 it took on a new face. In the meantime there are about fifteen Flemish Murgas, or contemporary street bands, which regularly take over the street in colourful costumes, with original lyrics, dance and music. At the end of October, the Murga year will for the second time kick off at deSingel: the Kick-Off 10, with time for encounters, associated activities and conversation on Saturday, and on Sunday an exciting event for young and old.
