What if … your class becomes a team full of experts? This two-day training weekend is for teachers, school-leaders, classroom assistants, and students interested in using Mantle of the Expert across the Key Stages.
Run as a series of practice-based workshops, participants will be involved in a series of MoE contexts – experiencing ‘being inside the work’. They explore:
- how to build meaningful and engaging learning experiences for cross-curricular learning.
- how to use and apply Dorothy Heathcote’s dramatic conventions to develop immersive imaginary contexts.
- how to apply some of the more complex areas of the system, including building tension, sequencing and signing.
- methods for planning and assessment.
The weekend is led by two trainers from the national UK team: Luke Abbott, a former student of Dorothy Heathcote and expert in dramatic-inquiry, and Tim Taylor, a freelance teacher and author of “A Beginner’s Guide to Mantle of the Expert”.
