Jan Michiels & Job Koelewijn
95 talks about more than 1300 books recorded on more than 70 hours of DVD: this is the result of what is now five years of 'Curating the Library'. And for the time being there is no end in sight. We are continuing to ask two personalities (architects, choreographers, philosophers, photographers, historians, artists, designers, writers, etc.) to present their favourite books every month. This month the two speakers are:
Jan Michiels (B), pianist. As an interpreter of Brahms, Ligeti and Rachmaninov, he is among the ranks of Flanders' top musicians. In 1991 he won the Queen Elizabeth competition and in 2006 the Golden Wings Music contest.
Job Koelewijn (NL), artist. Such poets as Beckett and Marsman play an important role in his work, which often appeals to the senses. He has recently held exhibitions at the Henry Moore Foundation in Leeds (2003) and Stichting De Pont in Tilburg (2008).
