The new Rosas production, which opens in June 2009, will be a work for nine men and one woman. It describes a world in which the pace of life continues to increase and deals with the questions of where are we heading, what values we share and what precisely belongs to the past and what to the future. As usual the body plays a central role in this whirlwind of change. As a sounding board in a chaotically changing world, a taste of what is still possible, a leap into the dark, an encouragement to act, and a flight into the hazy borderland separating light and dark. The choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker has entered into a new joint venture with the light sculptress Ann Veronica Janssens and the artist Michel François. They transform the space into a constantly shifting field of possibilities. An interplay of sound- and light waves that constantly reveal a new environment. A world in transition opens.
