Une Maison
Christian Rizzo likes to move in what Stanley Kubrick described as ‘the fertile zone of ambiguity’. After studying visual arts, he developed a clothing line, set up a rock band and finally became a dancer and choreographer. Since then, he has created numerous choreographies in which light, music and scenography are building blocks in a continuous interplay between fiction and reality.
For ‘Une Maison’ he works with fourteen dancers. Via solos, duets and trios, he will work towards a group choreography. Christian Rizzo: “In this society, we are led to believe that everything is eternal. With an illusion like this, waking up to reality can be tough. I believe the opposite. Everything disappears. It is only through rituals that you can preserve or remember things.”
