duration
1h 15' Together with Etienne Guilloteau, Claire Croizé is building on a choreographic oeuvre in which music plays a leading role. In ‘EVOL’ – an ode to love – she takes care of the choreography, and Guilloteau the dramaturgy. On stage you see four talented young dancers. With his sometimes surreal, sometimes warm lighting, Jan Maertens creates a broad horizon of pure beauty.
The choreography is inspired by the ‘Duino Elegies’, a collection of poems by Rainer Maria Rilke. In ‘EVOL’, Rilke’s romantic and mystical world is accompanied by David Bowie’s songs. Although his music is part of the collective memory, in this fresh context it is as though you were hearing it for the first time. Look with Claire Croizé’s eyes and experience her love for her dancers, their movements, music and poetry… and this piece will capture your heart.
