Daniel Linehan & Hiatus

Following the successful ‘Not About Everything’ (2007), Daniel Linehan has once again created a solo for himself! Dance often leaves long-term traces in the body of the dancer. These are sometimes physical and concrete: the development of muscles or the trauma of an injury. More often, however, the traces are less tangible: movements that linger on in the body and have a long-term influence on it. In ‘Body of Work’, our creative associate researches this idea in relation to his own body. In the choreographic material that he has created since his debut in 2005, he discovers fragments that are still present in his body. He mixes these to create a new solo. A choreography about the passage of time, which recognises that the past is always strongly anchored in the present. Made in deSingel!
