In his new choreography, he starts from the classic, romantic ballet of the nineteenth century. It fascinates him that 'Swan Lake' and 'Les Sylphides' are engraved in our collective memory and continue to influence our perception of dance and the body. The music also follows this path. Composer David Lang returns to classic ballet music. But there is more than just a return, there is also confrontation. The choreographer and composer confront the old, idyllic ballet world with contemporary fragmentation and harshness. From a romantic lyricism and harmony to a structurally complex approach. From symmetry through deconstruction to contemporary ballet. Enjoy a story that strikes a balance between classical peaks and a surprising discharge of adrenaline.
