Electroday

Electro is a music style that caused a furore in the 2000s, went off the radar, and is now back with a vengeance in the hip-hop and dance scene. Electro is typified by its rapid yet sultry rhythms and the sound of old drum computers like the Roland TR-909. Electroday is four-person electro collective from Utrecht, founded by Joley Groeizaam aka. Pairodime, Jeffrey Loewenicht aka. Creepashu, Simone Salerno and trek star Megan Jane Simons. The collective started out in the world of hip hop and dance theatre and then found their way to the Dutch electro scene. In a bespoke event for DE SINGEL they are curating a dance battle in which the world of hip-hop, house and electro come together. An international jury will judge the dancers in a range of categories, on technique, style and showmanship.
