1h 30' Have you seen Philippe Decouflé's work before? If so, you will undoubtedly know what to expect: sophisticated play with sensual dance and kaleidoscopic images. Decouflé, a catalyst of many influences from pop culture, is not afraid to remove dance from its ivory tower. The French press even speaks of 'decoufleries', a sequence of amusing sequences in which the world of circus, dance and image merge in a way that is quite unique. At a time when it is fashionable to focus on ugliness, in 'Octopus' Decouflé pays tribute to beauty. Including a focus on an elegant interplay of legs. He is fascinated by bodies and their formidable erotic aura. 'Octopus' refers to the sultry cabaret from 'Coeurs croisés' and the poetic grandeur of 'Shazam!'. Women march past on towering stilettos, men with bare torsos engage in a cock fight with the lighting and each other. 'Octopus' has eight tentacles, eight choreographic scenes in black and white which refer to love, nakedness and beauty.
The original score by LN and PLB will be performed live on stage.
