The magician Philippe Decouflé, who in sombre times occasionally lifts people's heavy hearts with his disarming performances, is back. With a new creation that draws on early and recent work from 'Vague Café' (1983) to 'Shazam!'( 1998) and 'Sombrero' (2006). From the early years until now, thirty years later, he and his company have developed a unique language in which dance flirts with humour, poetry and optical illusion. He has a latent desire to break codes and give a new dimension to what already exists. A costume becomes a piece of scenery, a film is a shadow, an actor mutates into a dancer, and an object nobody thought worthy of attention becomes his subject. For the first time his aim is to address the notion of repertoire. This means that in 'Panorama' Decouflé will open old books, whereby the pages in the new 2012 creation cannot be traced back to the original.
