Sasha Waltz - Schaubühne Am Lehniner Platz - UITGESTELD
insideout
With 'insideout', the German choreographer Sasha Waltz is realising her long-cherished dream (a large-scale project) of doing a production that gives the spectators unlimited freedom of movement. Countless actions, in dance, music and image take place at the same time and at different levels. It is up to the individual spectators to map out their own course. A highly enjoyable and exciting adventure, on location! Each scene tells a moving story, sometimes funny and grotesque, sometimes autobiographical. As always, the choreographer started from intensive social research. This time, she conducted interviews of her own dancers, asking them about their hidden histories, about their families and backgrounds. The production offers a kaleidoscope of life stories, emotions, and memories. The original composition by Rebecca Saunders is performed live by musikFabrik, the renowned German contemporary music ensemble.
PLEASE NOTE! This piece, which is performed on location, has been postponed for technical reasons. To replace 'Insideout', we are presenting 'Impromptus' by Sasha Waltz and Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in the Red Hall at 8 pm on Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th May 2005.
