Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui & Colin Dunne & Eastman

‘Session’ is the fruit of an encounter between the Irish choreographer Colin Dunne and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Through an exploration of sound, these two totally different performers go in search of what connects them. For this they base themselves on the rhythmic and acoustic aspects of Dunne’s traditional Irish dance. ‘Session’ is halfway between a concert and a dance performance: the boundary between movement and music, between looking and listening lies at the core of their performance, which ranges from gracious to absurd. In this ‘session’, they are supported on stage by composer Michael Gallen and musician Soumik Datta.
