1h 50' In 'PUZ/ZLE' Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui pays tribute to that glorious impurity that shapes our lives and our planet. He is intrigued by the question why certain things are connected in an organic whole, and not others. How do people fit together to create a new and personal identity (like a puzzle)? However, behind relationships there is often a complex story, both emotionally, intellectually and sexually. But also behind the morphology of the body and intangibles like music. In 'PUZ/ZLE' Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui also analyses how a song or composition can have religious and secular, Christian and Muslim sources all at the same time.
At his side are A. Filetta, the Corsican polyphonic group who accompanied him in 'Apocrifu', and the Lebanese singer Fadia Tomb El-Hage, who delighted audiences in 'Origin'. Moreover, the choreographer enters into a renewed collaboration with set designer Filip Peeters. His stone sculptures refer to the quarry of Boulbon, near Avignon, where the premiere took place in July 2012.
