The Trisha Brown Company returns to DE SINGEL! In a single evening, we present three key works by the legendary American choreographer. Glacial Decoy from 1979 is Brown’s very first creation for the classical theatre scene after she had spent years predominately working in the public space and on location. This also marks the start of her collaboration with visual artist Robert Rauschenberg, whom she had met in the early 1960s at the Judson Dance Theater in New York. Astral Converted from 1991, a geometrically refined choreography, was Brown’s first full-evening piece. The programme concludes with the short solo Watermotor from 1978, which attained iconic status in Babette Mangolte’s film version. As the cherry on the cake, you can also attend an outdoor programme before the performance.
