William Forsythe

William Forsythe is coming back! Since the late 1980s, the American choreographer has regularly featured on our programme and is and will continue to be one of the most innovative contemporary choreographers with a unique, unparalleled movement language. He conceived the Forsythe Company, the company that he disbanded in 2015, as a laboratory in which choreographer and dancers were able to create in full symbiosis. Forsythe encourages his dancers to push the boundaries and to explore new horizons just like he does. With this ‘A Quiet Evening of Dance’, we want to honour that combination of a searching brain, an open spirit and the energy of highly talented dancers. This performance - in co-production with deSingel - chiefly comprises duos and trios performed by seven of his former dancers.
