Wim Vandekeybus . Ultima Vez

A completely new company will be performing this dance production by Wim Vandekeybus. Seven young dancers, four men and three women, enter into a dialogue with the sound of Mauro Pawlowski and his musicians, who accompany them live. The celebrated choreographer describes the rock guitarist as 'a master of rhythm, soul and virtuosity. He and his music are captivating, daring and fearless'. Fascinated by the idea of change and evolution as the result of destruction or negation, Wim Vandekeybus logically continues his exploration of new possibilities for the body. He compares natural instinct with culture. How does a body change in its surroundings? How do people give meaning to their lives? The new creation comprises written passages by Peter Verhelst. He questions moral and amoral, absurd and associative ideas and their impact on a body filled with speed, tension and great emotional tension.
