Wim Vandekeybus - Ultima Vez

This season Wim Vandekeybus will have been at work as a choreographer for twenty-five years. For the occasion, deSingel is turning the spotlight on his work. As you have come to expect from us, not only with a re-enactment of his debut production - the 1987 piece 'What the body does not remember' - but also with a look to the future. By happy coincidence, we shall also be presenting his brand new production 'Talk to the Demon' this season. Prior to its world premiere at deSingel on 6 May, Vandekeybus will be working with his cast - six performers and a child - in our Red Hall for a week. In this new production, the theme that occupies him is how the social and public media manipulate - even misuse - children's emotions and thoughts.
