Zimmermann & de Perrot . Le Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger
Chouf Ouchouf
You saw the Swiss twosome Martin Zimmerman and Dimitri de Perrot in February 2007 when they appeared in deSingel with the cardboard tragicomic performance 'Gaff Aff'. Refreshing movement theatre on the borders of mime and clowning, all to the rhythm of scratch music. Today this acrobatic dancer and DJ continue to examine the relationship between movement, music and stage set.
They are now joining forces with Le Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger for an ensemble production. This Moroccan company of highly talented acrobats between the ages of twenty and forty-six captivated Europe with their performance 'Taoub'. What do the two partners from Zurich and the twelve super athletes from Tangiers have to offer one another? They face one another with an open mind and a willingness to learn from each other. They devote their passion and talent to a joint creation. Together Martin Zimmerman and Dimitri de Parrot are responsible for directing and the stage set. The former is also responsible for the choreography, while the latter creates original sounds for the performance. Exciting!
