Mysteria
The themed weekend MYSTERIA reflects on our fascination with the mysterious, the unknown, the mystical and the elusive. In the dance production Mystery Sonatas / for Rosa, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker links the motif of the rose - since time immemorial the symbol of mystery - with the baroque Rosary Sonatas by Heinrich Biber in a live performance by Amandine Beyer. From the mysterious sound world of Biber, it moves to the stripped-down and hushed music of Arvo Pärt, with the mystical Spiegel im Spiegel for violin and piano. Here Pärt reaches for the infinity of the cosmos. Theatre maker Thomas Ryckewaert is also preoccupied with the mysterious. In his new creation Chaos, he transports you on a blood-curdling trip along the highway of our contemporary consciousness, where the personal meets the planetary. During MYSTERIA, the boundaries between the intimate and the global, between our interior and exterior world vanish.
