Anger becomes liberation; vibrant performances celebrate the power of expressive emotion.

The new focus weekend Rage and Celebration reflects on one of the most primary emotions: rage. Rage as a source of negative and positive energy, as a motivation to move, or as a reason to demonstrate and protest. With a playful twist, Simon Baetens and Lila Magnin free themselves from the frames that held them captive and bring their rage to life in two new creations in which classic standards and rules are overhauled. The Antwerp Queer Choir goes wild and shakes off their anger during a rave performance. Using their voices to collectively let go of the negative energy, the choir swallow up the audience into the party. While the beats fill the air, everyone is invited to take part in this celebration of life, without limitations or judgements. A veritable jamboree!
