In 2007 Anna Vinnitskaja overwhelmingly won the Queen Elisabeth Competition. In this thoroughly romantic programme, she is able to demonstrate her mastery to the full. In Schumann’s Arabeske and Sonata No. 1 Vinnitskaja showcases her staggering wealth of touch and sound colours. She gives free rein to her effervescent parlando, supple rubato and flowing cantabile in Chopin’s Impromptus. Only to then deliciously linger in the intimate lyricism of Ravel, before finally breaking out in his crazy La Valse.
