For years, the Belcea Quartet has been one of the family at DE SINGEL. This season it is joining forces with Bertrand Chamayou for César Franck’s almost orchestral Piano Quintet: passionate High Romanticism. In his Razumovsky Quartets, Beethoven definitively throws open the door to this same Romanticism. ‘They are not for now but for a later time’, he told his dismayed audience.
