Birds of Paradise is a brand new, genre-transcending music festival. The festival is built around three proverbial birds of paradise: high-profile musicians or collectives for whom combining extremes and mixing musical styles feels very natural.
The first edition at DE SINGEL welcomes, among others, Bryce Dessner and world-renowned piano duo Katia and Marielle Labèque, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Jlin and the Ragazze Quartet. They will each be assigned their own day to present new work, exciting collaborations and an extensive context program.
