Following the decision of the Council of State to lift the closure of the cultural sector, we can confirm that this concert can take place in safe conditions with a maximum capacity of 200 spectators. With Zwanen, director and writer Nico Boon, nominated in 2019 for the Taalunie Toneelschrijfprijs (the playwright prize), has written a play featuring everything he knows about swans. Indeed, a great deal has been claimed and said about these graceful water birds. That they are enchanted girls who once they take off their swan costumes, return to normal. That white swans fly new babies over to our world, and that black swans transport the souls of the dead. Or that just before they die, swans can suddenly sing with great beauty. Enough stories for a bewitching performance, narrated by actress Hanne Struyf. The nine swans on stage provide the most beautiful music.
