For the third time, with ‘Building Bridges’, we are supporting András Schiff’s project to give young pianists a helping hand towards concert life with solo recitals in the big concert halls of New York, Berlin, Zürich, Frankfurt, Bonn, Munich, Gstaad, and at deSingel! Gile Bae is the first of the ‘exceptional three’ this year. She made her debut at the age of five with an orchestra in South Korea and was admitted to The Hague’s Royal Conservatoire aged six. In the meantime, she has garnered an impressive array of first prizes and has further perfected her technique at the famous Imola Piano Academy. With Bach and Mozart on the programme, Bae proves that she knows her counterpoint and her classics. Afterwards, she dives into the colourful fantasy world of Schumann and Ravel.
