The course of Mishka Rushdie Momen's musical life demonstrates that she is someone to be reckoned with. At the age of six she was the youngest pupil ever to attend the Purcell School in London. A short time later she became the sole student of Imogen Cooper at the Guildhall School. She is one of a small group of privileged students that Alfred Brendel took under his wing. Add Richard Goode to this package and you will realise that this young lady's training has been exceptional. András Schiff noticed her too and invited her to take part in his 'Building Bridges' series. Her choice of works reflects the repertoire for which her celebrated teachers became famous. In this concert, you can experience for yourself that she has listened to her illustrious tutors very well.
