Cargo Mas is a collective around trumpeter and composer Sam Vloemans. Live he surrounds himself with musicians who have earned their spurs with Liane La Havas, Zap Mama, Gabriel Rios and Guru’s Jazzmatazz, amongst others. Thanks to the broad expertise and diverse backgrounds of the band members, the collective produces a unique sound and idiosyncratic mix of jazz-funk, Latin, old-school hip-hop and rock ’n’ roll. Also joining them is the American trombonist Greg Boyer: a living legend who has collaborated with Prince, Sheila E, Maceo Parker and George Clinton & Parliament. For the collaboration with Boyer, Vloemans has written a new composition, which will premiere during this concert.
