Castalian String Quartet

‘Have fun, enjoy.’ Right before the Castalian String Quartet step onto the stage, they repeat these words to one another. It hard for us to know whether it’s down to that mantra, but one thing is certain: the reputation of the young Castalian String Quartet has hit stratospheric heights in recent years. They are artist in residence at Wigmore Hall and Oxford University, and were nominated as one of the best newcomers of the past year by the BBC following the release of their album Between Two Worlds. So we can’t wait to present these up-and-coming artists in the 23-24 season. Like their much-lauded debut, their programme combines contemporary creations with jewels from the repertoire. Have fun, enjoy!
