Pigeon feels lonely and goes looking for friends. She flies over jungles, steppes, seas and deserts and has great adventures with strange birds and odd fish. But she doesn't find a friend. Winds carry her to colder regions. Tired, shivering and utterly alone, Pigeon lands on the snow at the North Pole. It may sound sad, but occasionally something unexpected does happen...
'Cellostorm' is a visual performance on loneliness and friendship, without words but with lots of humour and music from all over the world. From Schubert to Philip Glass, from Emile Waldteufel to John Adams and from Alberto Ginastera to Astor Piazzolla, all played by the eight cellists of the Cello8ctet from Amsterdam. 'Cellostorm' has already been touring for several years, always with great success.
