The Chamber Orchestra of Europe has proven multiple times in recent years that it is amongst the crème de la crème of European symphony orchestras. Their forte? Intricate performances of 18th and 19th century music with a fiery enthusiasm, discipline and a sublime sound. Conducted by Lorenza Borrani, they perform a series of masterpieces from the canon. Bach’s Fifth Brandenburg Concerto for three soloists (flute, violin and harpsichord) which enter into a lively dialogue with the orchestra in a ceaseless stream of notes. The soloist also attracts attention in Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto. Add a playful, light-footed serenade by Mozart and you know that an exceptional concert evening awaits you.
