In 'DRIE', several drumming styles are in dialogue with each other and the jazz drummer Teun Verbruggen, progressive rock/fusion drummer Bruno Meeus, percussionist Marcel Andriessen and Taiko drummer Tsubasa Hori take the lead. 'Fingerfertigkeit' sets etudes in a new context and focuses in fascination on fingers flying in synchronisation. For the 'A la recherche de temps' series, Serge Verstockt and ChampdAction collaborate with the world-renowned Ensemble Modern: the clarinettist Jaan Bossier (Ensemble Modern) performs a new version of the first part; in the second part of 'A la recherche de temps' - 'Doloroso' - the violist Megumi Kasakawa (Ensemble Modern) dialogues with herself: alter egos on video. While composing 'Doloroso', Verstockt was confronted with a world at war, a movement to the right, nationalism, a refugee crisis and terrorism. This led to a piece in which the 'Human Rights' in the first part are whispered by the viola. After this, it gradually finds its tone, which results in a wild punk concert.
During the two intervals, the public will be treated to a musical surprise in the corridors.
