Dez Mona / B.O.X

Ten years after the success of ‘SÁGA’, created at deSingel, Dez Mona and B.O.X (Baroque Orchestration X) announce the birth of a long-awaited successor. ‘LUCY’ is neither divine nor earthly, neither man nor woman. Homeless, but deeply rooted. With ‘LUCY’ as the focal point and narrator, they present the story of very different people who are united in their longing to share a home. ‘LUCY’ can be described as a secular oratorio. Its contents and inspiration do not come from the holy books, but grow out of stories told by people from all over the world. Once again, the music seeks out the borderlands between pop and classical, with references to timeless forms such as aria, chorale and even recitative.
