Dez Mona & B.O.X

'Sága', the internationally acclaimed ballad opera about the quest for a home, will after six years itself be returning home. This 'Made in deSingel' production premiered in the Red Hall in 2011. It was the first joint project by the singer Gregory Frateur's band Dez Mona and B.O.X. (Baroque Orchestration X). In the meantime, B.O.X. has become a frequent guest at deSingel and one of its Creative Associates.
In January 2016, 'Sága' was performed at the Prototype Festival in New York three times. The New York Times wrote: '... classy, sensual, exquisitely artful and unmistakably new'. The concerts in New York were recorded in full and are now being made into a new live album. This exclusive concert in the Theatre Studio, with a more intimate and pared-down line-up, completes a particularly fine circle and will at the same time launch the new album. The 'quest for a new home' thus also means being constantly on the move, a notion that is more topical than ever these days. 'Somewhere along this road...'
