Oberlinger and Mönkemeyer build a bridge from Hildegard von Bingen to Luciano Berio.
In 2017 recorder player Dorothee Oberlinger made DE SINGEL resonate with a baroque programme. Now with violist Nils Mönkemeyer she builds a bridge from Hildegard von Bingen to Luciano Berio. Mönkemeyer exchanged the violin for the viola because he found the latter instrument so compelling in chamber music. Both musicians flourish when they can establish a musical dialogue on stage. Whether that is a two-part invention by Bach or a duo from Bartók, medieval or contemporary.
