1h Hans Christian Andersen wrote the oddest of stories. 'The Steadfast Tin Soldier' is one of the best known. The journey this toy makes is a trip in the fantasy of a master storyteller. A quest for love and happiness, an adventurous journey in the air, the water, the earth and in fire. The fate of a person who is thrown out of their house is fitful and never pleasant. But our hero remains upright even with just one leg. The music of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg accompanies this story and opens up even more doors of astonishment. Grieg knew and admired Andersen and they implicitly understood each other. It is as if Grieg's lyrical piano works were written for Andersen's fairytales. Dimitri Leue has adapted the story and will tell it, while Kiyotaka Izumi accompanies him on the piano.
