In 'Kwadratur #2 / Transfo' the sixteen Blindmen - four saxes, four string players, four voices and four percussionists - once again push the boundaries of the concert experience. The key focus is the idea of transformation. The grey zones between the safe, established conventions and categories provide the creative arena. Musical pieces overlap one another: early and new music, known and unknown sounds, familiar and surprising notes. Musicians venture outside the familiar domain of their instrument. The electronics fashion sounds into unreal new elements. A varying flow of impulses - light and darkness, visual and aural, leads you to an intense, constantly changing perception of space. To mark the occasion, Luc Brewaeys composes a score that comprises seven modules. In addition, Eric Sleichim arranges an existing work by other composers into a new entity that is bathed in a modular light installation. An exciting visual concert is guaranteed!
