In recent years, the career of the Egyptian soprano has been progressing at breakneck speed. Especially since her widely acclaimed debut El Nour she has been touring the whole globe - and she also stopped off at DE SINGEL. Since then there has been a second, equally successful follow-up: Kaleidoscope. And Said became artist in residence at the Konzerthaus Berlin. We sent a new invitation to the singers and her regular accompanist Malcolm Martineau, and in turn Said invited Sabine Meyer, German grande dame of the clarinet. It will be fascinating to observe how the pearly voice and the pastoral instrument interact.
