Of all the young pianists we have heard lately, the Frenchman Florian Caroubi has made the deepest impression: he is a monumental talent and musical omnivore! Solo performances, songs, chamber music, conducting and composing. Florian Caroubi does it all with passion and sophisticated expression. With mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet he won first prize and all the other special prizes at the latest International Vocalists Concours in s-Hertogenbosch. We promise you this song duo next season, but we would like to introduce the pianist to you now. In a challenging programme that requires the utmost, both technically as well as in endurance and imagination. Exotic Gamelan sounds in Debussy, Ravel’s immeasurable ocean, Mussorgsky’s team of oxen tramping through the mud ... Florian Caroubi magically produces it on the grand piano.
