Frederic Rzewski

One day after his overview concert with Champ d'Action and Zwerm, the composer-pianist Frederic Rzewski will give a lecture recital in which the piano plays a central role. In 1960 he began studying under Luigi Dallapiccola and decided he would become a performer of contemporary piano music. He has written several legendary piano works which he himself frequently performs. Compositions which are both avant-garde and remarkably accessible.
