'Beginning with music, continuing otherwise', the title of an article in the journal RTRSRCH, was what led directly to '492 kilo'. This comprises nine contributions from European 'musical artists' with roots in the 1970s, a challenge to the concept of music and here in a concert performance by pianist Frederik Croene. '492 kilo' groups nine approaches to the 492-kg classic instrument, the piano. Matthew Shlomowitz juxtaposes piano sounds with animal sounds and furious guitar-playing.
