Capucelli exudes magic: a symphony of cellos conducted by maestro Gautier Capuçon.
For seven years now, Cellist Gautier Capuçon has been teaching at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris. His 'Classe d'Excellence de Violoncelle' is populated by the fine fleur of top young international cellists, which can further develop thanks to a grant from the foundation at Capuçon. With six of his best students from recent years, the French master cellist has now formed the unique Capucelli. The ensemble of seven top cellists sounds like a fully-fledged orchestra and focuses on a rich palette of classical and even popular music. In addition to adaptations of compositions by Delibes, Bartók, Dvořák and Ravel (a spectacular Boléro), among others, there is also an arrangement of South American Getaway by the late songwriter Burt Bacharach, who died in 2023. In addition, the ensemble is working on its own future with new compositions written especially for Capucelli by Bryce Dessner and Guillaume Connesson, among others.
